I tried to search in German sources and there are indeed remarks that this difference might be due to industry consuming less gas in comparison to 2021 due to high gas prices [1][2]. Some particular examples are mentioned in [3], like BASF switching from producing ammonia to buying it. So, at least there are some weak indications that this indeed has to do with industry saving gas.

I was discussing the June numbers though.
The difference is still there and it is still hard for me to comprehend and make sense of.
